In the Performance Management module, students will explore principles and practices essential for effective organizational performance management. They will develop skills to analyze and interpret key performance indicators, financial metrics, and non-financial measures, allowing for accurate assessment of organizational performance. Emphasis will be placed on strategic performance planning, equipping students to align performance management strategies with organizational goals and manage budgeting and cost control effectively. Students will enhance decision-making by integrating performance data into the decision-making process and understanding its impact on organizational performance and long-term sustainability.
The module will also cover the application of performance measurement in various organizational contexts and the integration of technology and data analytics for performance improvement. Assessment will include examinations, case studies, and practical assignments, ensuring the application of theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios. Prerequisites include a foundational understanding of financial accounting principles and basic management concepts.
The main assessment method will be as follows: 100% assignment (Word Count: 4,000 – 6,000 words)
